Our guide for driving to Disneyland® Paris
With Disneyland® Paris just a 3-hour drive from Calais, a great option is to make the journey in the comfort of your own car and take in some of the glorious French countryside en route. We’ve done it as a family a number of times and you can really make the journey a nice adventure for the kids.
Driving also gives you some great options in terms of accommodation, with some great value off-site options that offer something a little different!
Travel options
Eurotunnel
Eurotunnel – also known as Le Shuttle, the Channel Tunnel or simply ‘the shuttle’ – is a great way to travel to France with the journey taking just 35-minutes from Folkestone to Calais. For the Eurotunnel terminal in Folkestone, simply take junction 11a on the M20. There are up to 4 shuttles per hour at peak times or you can opt to make the crossing at night and potentially make the entire journey without waking the kids! And yes, don’t worry, there are (award-winning) toilets on board.
Ferry
The ferry crossing takes 90-minutes from Dover to Calais. Two operators – DFDS and P&O Ferries – offer 15 – 20+ crossings a day, along with a night service. Although more disruptive than the shuttle option, there are plenty of distractions onboard for both adults and children. Brittany Ferries operate an overnight service travelling from Portsmouth to St Malo. The outbound journey departs in the evening and takes approximately 11-hours, with the return daytime service leaving St Malo mid-morning and taking around 9-hours.
Driving directions – Calais to Disneyland® Paris
Driving to Disneyland® Paris is easy with all Channel crossings at Calais offering access to the French motorway network. The drive is approximately 311km (193 miles) and will take just over 3-hours without stops.
Some French motorways operate a paying toll (péage) system. Make sure your Sat Nav isn’t set to ‘avoid tolls’ or it’ll send you on the much longer scenic route.

When you leave the train or ferry, head onto the A26 from Calais and change to the A4 straight to the Parks. Follow Metz/Nancy on the A4 motorway or the A104 (la Francilienne). These take you straight to Disneyland® Paris with plenty of signs along the route to show you the way.

Parking at Disneyland® Paris
Parking is free for guests staying at a Disney® Hotel, including Disney Hotel New York the Art of Marvel, Disney Newport Bay Club, Disney Sequoia Lodge, Disney Hotel Cheyenne, Disney Hotel Santa Fe, Disney Davy Crockett Ranch – all you’ll need is your hotel check-in card.
Guests not staying at a Disney® Hotel will find plenty of paid parking just a few minutes’ walk from the entrance to the Park, and also next to the entrance of the Disney® Village.
Current daily parking fees are:
Cars (including those with a bicycle or ski box on top) under 2m high – €30
Vehicles over 2m high and with more than 9 seats – €40
Campervans – €40
Motorbikes – €25
Car parks open at 8.00am and close 30-minutes after the Parks
